Last week we played good ol’ East Islip Lanes with almost all the bands I love to play with: No Rights Reserved, The Shanks, and My Strapping Stimulus Package.
Pretty much everyone who likes us was there which was really awesome. We had fun, you had fun, it was a rip roarin’ great time. Remember at the end of Screaming Hearts when we all screamed “THE WHOLE FUCKIN’ WORLD CAN’T BRING US DOWN TONIGHT!” Yeah, we dig that stuff.
Last Saturday we played with The Sidekicks and The Menzingers at The Silent Barn in Queens (almost Brooklyn). The Silent Barn is a really awesome (and hot as balls upstairs) DIY venue. They’ve been going for over five years now and do some really great stuff. I’d love to play there again with whoever.
BUT WE PLAYED THERE WITH THE MENZINGERS! They’re my favorite band right now. What an awesome experience. A bunch of the No Rights Reserved crew drove out to support us (WOO COMMUNITY!). We played (and sweated) our hearts out and the crowd seemed to enjoy us. All the bands put on great sets, I wish that could be every show.
